About Chikako Nagayama
Dr. Chikako Nagayama is an Associate Professor at G30 Linguistics and Cultural Studies Program of Graduate School of Humanities at Nagoya University in Japan. Her research critically examines gender and racial relations in film, media and society in Japan and Canada. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in gender studies, cultural studies and sociology in Canadian and Japanese universities. She has also assisted Japanese-English translation of documentary films featuring Asia-Pacific War atrocity survivors.
